Steep & Deep Ski Camp

To be the best, you have to ski the best. Steep & Deep Ski Camp is for skiers who won't settle for anything less than the best: the best instruction from the best coaches; the best terrain in the lower 48; the best technique, free-flowing and graceful; the best access - the early Tram and its guarantee of first tracks; and the best camaraderie among like-minded skiers. The name of the game is inclusion. During this Steep & Deep Camp, adaptive athletes participate in all Steep & Deep activities on and off the snow, whenever possible.

This camp is open to skiers (no snowboarders) who are at an advanced to expert level.

All Participants must have their own equipment, be able to ski black diamond terrain, load/unload the ski lift independently, and be ready to push their limits. Camp tuition includes coaching, lifts, lunches, apre's ski activities, lodging and a banquet dinner. All attendee's must provide their own transportation to and from Jackson Hole, WY. - airport pickup will be available.

"As an amputee, I usually ski with other adaptive skiers. I really enjoyed the opportunity to be grouped with other skiers based on my abilities and not by the equipment I use to move down the hill," said one of our participants "The instructors with the camp were truly top-notch. I cannot wait to come back to the steeps and deeps of Jackson Hole next year."

During this intensive camp, students learn how to safely and confidently explore the extreme terrain and snow conditions that make Jackson Hole famous. Offering the highest level of instruction, expert coaches provide tips on finding the best line, reading a slope, steep skiing etiquette, and terrain selection. Guided by instructors' knowledge of the conditions and the mountain, students ski mostly black and double black terrain. Highlights include the Hobacks, the Expert Chutes, and, on the last day, the infamous Corbet's Couloir. Groups also may head out of bounds to explore Jackson's legendary backcountry.

Camaraderie and community make this camp an amazing experience for everyone involved. And the fun continues after the lifts close; camp tuition includes aprés ski events, tech talks, and an awards dinner with prize giveaways.

"After 4 days, the terrain, the coaching, the camaraderie... everything about this camp is the Best of the Best," said David Ellerstein, one of the main camp instructors. "Our goal is to push you hard, keep you safe, and take you to the next level. We'll sell you the seat, but you'll only need the edge."
