NOTICE OF RACE
ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
The regatta is open to Participants and boats accommodating individuals with mobility limitations. Preference will be given to Participants that are military veterans and/or individuals with mobility limitations. The Adaptive Adventures Regatta will be hosted at the Sandusky Sailing Club and will be open to all registered participants. Adaptive Adventures has successfully used Windrider W 17 AS trimarans as one of the primary sailing vessels and there will be 11 of these available on a first come bases for a small reservation fee defined below. Other Windrider W17s are welcome and will all be in a one design class for the regatta. Additional one design classes will be available for fleets of boats exceeding 3 registered boats. Special racing for groups of boats that there are insufficient numbers registered to create a one design class will be accommodated. As the race area will cover some shallow areas no boats with a draft exceeding 24 inches will be allowed to participate.
Competing vessels must be equipped with proper safety gear and accommodation for individuals with mobility limitations. At least one participant on the vessel must either be a military veteran or individual with mobility limitations.
FEES

Private Boats including participant/crew - $50.00
Use of Adaptive Adventure W17 AS - $100 ($50.00 plus participant/crew fee of $50.00)
After July 3rd until Friday July 9th, 2018
Private Boats including participant/crew - $65.00
Use of Adaptive Adventure W17 AS - $75.00 plus participant/crew fee of $65.00
After Friday July 5th, 2018 - $35.00 late fee.
Identification flags will be available to rent for $10.00 plus a $10.00 deposit.
Other fees
Join us for the Evening Under The Sails event, Friday July 13th and receive a discounted entry for participating in the regatta. Join us aboard the SV Denis Sullivan Tall Ship for a special evening following the Festival of Sail. Climb aboard the world’s only re-creation of a 19th century three-masted, Great Lakes schooner. Enjoy cocktails, music and a special Surf and Turf dinner from Sandusky favorite, Zinc Brasserie. Zinc Brasserie is a French-inspired restaurant recognized with an Award of Exellence by TripAdvisor and Wine Spectator. All proceeds from the evening support Adaptive Adventures, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Wednesday July 11th Registration at Sandusky Sailing Club, Adaptive Adventures Open House water sports day, and area familiarization and Boat Set Up 10:00am to 4:00pm
Wednesday July 11th Registration at Sandusky Sailing Club, Opening Ceremony, and short sail race 5:00pm to 7:00pm
Thursday July 12th Race at Sandusky Sailing Club from 09:30am-12:00pm and 2:00- 5:00pm
Friday July 13th Race at Sandusky Sailing Club from 09:30am-12:00pm and 2:00-4:00pm
Friday July 13th Fundraising Dinner on Tall Ship and dockside at Jackson Street Pier 7:00-10:00pm
Saturday July 14th Race at Sandusky Sailing Club from 11:00am - 1:00pm
The scheduled time of the warning signal for each race Wednesday, Thursday and Friday is 0930 and 1400 respectively for each race and 1100 on Saturday.
