The Northern Arizona Adaptive Sports Association (NAASA) and Adaptive Adventures are partnering this winter to provide the Arizona Snowbowl Military Sit-Ski Camp in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona. This four night, three day camp provides disabled veterans and disabled members of the armed forces an opportunity to learn to sit-ski or improve upon their beginner sit-skiing abilities. All participants will experience one-on-one lessons and will be provided adaptive equipment as needed. All participants will travel and function as a group providing an opportunity for great camaraderie off the mountain.

This camp is open to sit-skiers only who are at a beginner to intermediate level.

What to Expect

Participants will arrive on Tuesday, February 18 and check in to the hotel. We will gather before dinner for a meet and greet and then enjoy a group dinner. Buffet-style breakfast is provided at the hotel each morning and lunch is provided daily at the ski resort between on-snow time. There will be a group dinner every evening. On-snow instruction will occur on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 9:00am-Noon with a break for lunch and 1:00pm-3:30pm. All participants will depart on Saturday morning.

All participants must provide their own transportation. There will be no shuttle service for this camp. You will need to drive yourself to dinners every evening and to/from the ski resort every day.

All lodging, lift tickets, lessons, equipment, and meals are provided at no cost. Veterans are responsible for their own travel.

This camp is provided FREE to disabled veterans and disabled members of the armed forces thanks to the support of the VA Adaptive Sports Grant.
