The Keystone Adaptive Center and Adaptive Adventures are partnering once again to provide the Keystone All Mountain Ski and Ride Camp in beautiful Keystone, Colorado. This four night, three day camp provides youth with physically disabilities an opportunity to learn to ski/snowboard or improve upon their skiing and riding abilities. All participants will experience one-on-one lessons and will be provided adaptive equipment as needed. We are accepting youth and young adults ages 6-21, depending on size (some children may be too small for our equipment). Family members are welcome to attend.

Goals

This camp has three primary goals: (1) to build the adaptive ski/boarding skills of youth with physical disabilities; (2) to provide a safe and fun place for youth to come together and make friends with others who may have similar life stories; and (3) to empower youth to be independent, push past barriers, and experience freedom through mobility!

What to Expect

Participants will arrive on Monday, March 25 and check in to the hotel. Buffet-style breakfast is provided at the hotel each morning and lunch is provided daily at the Keystone Adaptive Center. Group dinners will be on Monday and Thursday nights; and dinner is on your own on Tuesday and Wednesday. A suggested location will be made each day if participants would like to go out as a group. Each participant will be matched with an instructor on Tuesday morning and will combine what equipment they would like with the adaptations they will need. On-snow instruction will occur on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00am-12:00pm with a break for lunch and then back on the slopes from 1:00pm-3:30pm. All youth participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied to camp by AT LEAST ONE guardian. Guardians are not required to ski. All family members attending the camp will share ONE hotel room (unless a second room is purchased on your own). All participants will depart on Friday morning.
