Summary

Have you ever thought about sailing, using the wind to power yourself across the water?

Now is your chance to give it a try!

Sign up to join us at one of our sailing nights and experience the joys of wind powered motion. If you enjoy it we will gladly work with you to understand the basics of sailing and even try your hand at controlling the boat.
Advance registration is essential in order to ensure the appropriate number of participants, captains, and volunteers. We require that all individuals sign up on-line no later than NOON ON FRIDAY of the week before you are interested in sailing. If it is later than that time, you must contact either Mark or Paul to ensure we have the resources to serve you.

Description

Have you ever thought about sailing, using the wind to power yourself across the water?

Now is your chance to give it a try!

Adaptive Adventures Sailing Program is creating new opportunities in Colorado and the West, for individuals with physical disabilities and their families. The program focus is providing accessible sailing, skill development, instruction, modified racing and maritime education that will assist participants in achieving freedom through the mobility of sailing. Participants are encouraged to learn sail on a regular basis on either a recreational or competitive level, with the goal of encouraging several persons with disabilities become“sailing” qualified and act as role models for the program in the future. Our program will be based out of Chatfield State Park, Cherry Creek State Park and Bear Creek Lake Park with special events extending out to Colorado Springs and Ft Collins.

Directions:

We will be launching from the Cherry Creek Marina on the northwest corner of the park.
