Description

Adaptive Adventures is participating in the Denver Veterans Day Parade and Festival hosted by Colorado Veterans Project again this year! We encourage you, your friends and family to join us as we march, roll and ride in the parade. We encourage veterans and their families to participate with us in this wonderful event but ALL are welcome to participate. Adaptive Adventures will provide adaptive cycles for those who would like to ride the 0.82 mile route. Adaptive Adventures will also pull a dragon boat on a trailer through the parade. We would love members of Team Blue to paddle and chant as we go through the parade. We also need volunteers to walk the route and hand out brochures and swag. After the parade concludes, we encourage you to join us in Civic Center Park at our booth where we will have our climbing wall in operation. We need volunteers to help ensure waivers are signed, assist with fitting helmets and harnesses and collecting donations.

Please be sure to register if you plan to participate in the parade. This will ensure you receive all pertinent information including parking info, staging times, staging location, etc. Adaptive Adventures will provide donuts and coffee in the morning. Staging will begin at 8am. Adaptive Adventures will be assigned an exact staging window and location soon. The Parade begins at 10am and concludes at Noon. The Festival begins at Noon and concludes around 3pm.

"The Denver Veterans Day Parade is comprised of local Veterans organizations and supporters. Thousands of spectators line Civic Center Park and nearby streets to show respect and honor for our local Veterans. Please join the community in the appreciation of our Veterans and support this important cause.

The Parade is broken down into serials that represent a different conflict in military history: Revolutionary War, Civil War, WWI, WWII, etc. This will allow our spectators to brush up on their military history as well as add a sense of excitement to the event. Each serial representation will feature military memorabilia from that era – i.e. old uniforms, vehicles, and weapons.  The Veterans organizations have agreed to march together to showcase their organization’s historical roots in these eras. Spectators will also enjoy corporate floats, car clubs, marching units, bands, and more."
