Cycling Cross Florida 167 Mile Challenge Ride for ALL Virtual Riders wishing to push themselves including individuals with physical disabilities, first responders, veterans and members of the Armed Forces. We will have 15 veterans riding live at the event in Florida, but we don't want to leave you out. Who can do the fastest 174 miles on the same exact course they are riding? you can do it... comfort of your own home, no wind, rain, or heat. Don't think you can go the whole distance, can you break your own personal goals? Let this great room of people help motivate you to go further than maybe you've ever gone before.

You MUST register to receive the confirmation email with the  link to participate in this group to Ride for a Reason!

There are two ways to complete this challenge -  1 Long Day  OR  2 Shorter Days

1 Day  ~  12 Hour Ride  (4/10)

In these unprecedented times we have chosen NOT to cancel this amazing annual event with our great community partner, Warriors4Life, but instead will be holding the event virtually. We will ride inside but together, thanks to Zoom! We are resilient and will make this ride a virtual 174 mile tour across Florida, from Cocoa Beach to Bayport, on the Gulf Coast. You will not only be challenging yourself, but also the goal of helping veterans cope with physical and psychological wounds, through cycling.  That is nearly 170 miles from East to West! They will be virtually starting in Cocoa Beach, FL and biking the journey west side of the state, ending in Bayport, FL. All registrants will be sent Rouvy and Map My Ride routes.

We can not let the need to physically space and isolate make an already vulnerable group with physical and emotional trauma feel more alone. We are never alone! Together we shall use every link of a chain, hold us together and rise above veteran suicide and trauma.

What to Expect: A Finisher Medal for anyone who meets the challenge!

You must have your own trainer and bike of any kind to take part at the highest level (can work together to help those in need to find a trainer local to you through Facebook Marketplace, local bike shops, or from friends of the cycling world. No smart trainers required... any rollers or stands work, provided you have a speed and cadence senor on your bike (ask for details from our staff)! Exciting to ride with hundreds of online riders in this virtual peleton ride. Zoom Room will have you interacting with the other riders, perhaps from around the world.

Together, Adaptive Adventures Cycling and Warriors 4 Life is dedicated to our nation's wounded veterans and their families, promoting recovery through a healthy active lifestyle, self awareness and empowerment.
