Strengthening our core will increase our balance and posture therefore decreasing injuries while exercising and doing everyday activities. Gauging our balance while performing these core exercises is a great indicator on the progress you have made from week to week. Whether your standing, sitting, or lying, this program will be a beneficial and educational for all abilities!! It will provide a unique core workout customized for all participants' needs. The instructor will modify for seated (chair, ball, wheelchair), lying, and standing exercises. You will learn exercises you can do with or without equipment at home, on your own or with a partner. Lets get strong together!!

Michael McKenzie is a Recreation Therapy intern and soon to be graduate at California State University, Long Beach. He has a passion for heath and wellness and providing opportunities for all abilities to participate in all activities! Michael was a medic in the U.S. Army from 2003-2006. He did one tour in 2004 where he did detainee operations in Southern Iraq. He was a certified EMT-B, along with a history in personal traing and adaptive education.
