Summary

This is a cycling-specific volunteer training open to all Adaptive Adventures volunteers with an interest in cycling programs.

Description

This cycling-specific volunteer training will cover everything our volunteers need to know about our local cycling program. Our Cycling and Paddlesports Manager, Chris Wiegand will teach about adaptive techniques and equipment used for athletes in our cycling programs. The clinic will cover disability awareness, types of cycles in our fleet, proper transfers for athletes who use wheelchairs, a brief introduction to our ABCCQ process for maintenance checks, and an overview of the club model so our volunteers can interact on a better platform with our athletes.

Attendees will need athletic clothing and a bike (can bring your own or borrow one from our fleet).
